Holidays are almost over

I have been bad about updating. I have had so much going on in my life. Bryant is doing well, except for the fact that he ditched school 4 days in a row, and he failed all of his classes for the interim. So it has been busy at our house. I walked him to class each and every day until christmas vacation, and I will be doing it again the next week he is back at school. It seems that he doesn't care if I am there and I am sure that a part of him real enjoys it. Sometimes I just want to shake some sense into him and ensure that he doesn't turn out to be one of those teenagers. LOL. So needless to say he is grounded. Yea during Christmas vacation and it does suck. I took away his Xbox, his phone and his ipod. He does still have his television but is only allowed to watch it during certain times of the week. He did not get some of the things that he wanted for Christmas, like the Xbox Live or the wii. Actually we could not find the Wii and could also not justify purchasing a 300 toy as in the Xbox live, so his punishment helped us make that decision. He is grounded until he brings home a report card with C's or better. Oh yes, and we are truly ruining his life, with as much as we are harassing him and beating him senseless, which we aren't. We are being parents.

I have once again over obligated myself

I have this really bad habit of saying, "Sure, I don't mind doing that". Of course what I fail to realize is that I am not super woman, and I do only have 24 hours in one day just like every one else. There is no reason for me to "one up" everyone else or prove that I can do everything on my list for the nest week: 1. Cook my magnificent stuffed shells for the Moose dinner Monday night, of course we just cant serve store bought shells and no I am not giving anyone my reciepe so, "Sure, I can cook the shells that night." 2. Hello Uterus!

Obviously by the title you can tell that I am not talking about bacon today, nor am I talking about planting or photography so if you are a normal male you might want to move on. I am on the phone now, on hold with my doctor's office. They have not called me to tell me everything that is going to happen and to tell me that I am being over cautious and extremely difficult right now. I am waiting for them to tell me what to expect and why the hell I am going to be off work for 6 weeks. I don't quite understand the entire process and since I am paying for it, I should be getting color by number steps of exactly what they are going to do. I am not difficult in any means. i just want to request that someone hold my hand through the entire procedure and whisper sweet nothings in my ear and watch for tears coming out of my eyes in case I am still awake during the procedure. Yes, I know I watch too much television, but hey at least if it does happen I know exactly what to do right? So

Nachos

I made lunch for me today. Everyone was gone so I checked out my favorite food website ( ThePioneerWoman ). I decided on the Nachos since I could tweak it with the stuff that I had, and I really wanted some carbs. I cooked up some ground hamburger, added some taco sauce, and you can use enchilada sauce if you want, but I wanted to stay as mild as possible but with a hint of flavor. I also cooked a can of pinto beans. While that was simmering I chopped up some tomato, avocado, and shredded some Monterey Jack cheese and added a bit of cheddar to the mix. Then I took some tortilla chips laid them down in a pie plate, covered them with beans and the meat, added some cheese, and a few tomato's then I repeated, omitting the tomato's this time. I then put it in the broiler for a few minutes and it looked awesome I then took a generous helping, and added some fresh tomato's and avocado, added some sour cream and I ATE. It. ALL. UP.
