For the next couple of days, I'm going to get all introspective on you and reflect on the year that was 2008. This is the first segment.
Was 2008 good for you? In some ways yes.. but mostly no. But I did learn alot about myself and what exactly i want from life
What was your favorite moment of the year? the Children's christmas party
What was your worst moment of the year? April 26th 2008.
Where were you when 2008 began? At the Moose With my husband and friends all around.
Who were you with? Hubby and friends
Where will you be when 2008 ends? Same place but differenet spirit
Did you keep your new years resolution of 2008? I didnt make any. I will be changing that this year.
Do you have a new years resolution for 2009? I want to publish a short story and get in shape before I turn 40.

What was your proudest moment of 2008? Starting another new career at 38 yrs old.
What was your most embarrassing moment of 2008? hmm, I am sure.. omg I cant write it here... but it has to do with laughing then coughing then peeing and then sneaking out of the moose.

If you could go back to any moment of 2008 and change something, what would it be? I would be a different person, one that my husband wanted to be with... it takes two.

I have once again over obligated myself

I have this really bad habit of saying, "Sure, I don't mind doing that". Of course what I fail to realize is that I am not super woman, and I do only have 24 hours in one day just like every one else. There is no reason for me to "one up" everyone else or prove that I can do everything on my list for the nest week: 1. Obviously by the title you can tell that I am not talking about bacon today, nor am I talking about planting or photography so if you are a normal male you might want to move on. I am on the phone now, on hold with my doctor's office. They have not called me to tell me everything that is going to happen and to tell me that I am being over cautious and extremely difficult right now. I am waiting for them to tell me what to expect and why the hell I am going to be off work for 6 weeks. I don't quite understand the entire process and since I am paying for it, I should be getting color by number steps of exactly what they are going to do. I am not difficult in any means. i just want to request that someone hold my hand through the entire procedure and whisper sweet nothings in my ear and watch for tears coming out of my eyes in case I am still awake during the procedure. Yes, I know I watch too much television, but hey at least if it does happen I know exactly what to do right? So

Nachos

I made lunch for me today. Everyone was gone so I checked out my favorite food website ( ThePioneerWoman ). I decided on the Nachos since I could tweak it with the stuff that I had, and I really wanted some carbs. I cooked up some ground hamburger, added some taco sauce, and you can use enchilada sauce if you want, but I wanted to stay as mild as possible but with a hint of flavor. I also cooked a can of pinto beans. While that was simmering I chopped up some tomato, avocado, and shredded some Monterey Jack cheese and added a bit of cheddar to the mix. Then I took some tortilla chips laid them down in a pie plate, covered them with beans and the meat, added some cheese, and a few tomato's then I repeated, omitting the tomato's this time. I then put it in the broiler for a few minutes and it looked awesome I then took a generous helping, and added some fresh tomato's and avocado, added some sour cream and I ATE. It. ALL. UP.
